AT HOME EUTHANASIA

We consider at-home euthanasia one of the most important services we offer. The final moments of your pet’s life can be spent in its most familiar and secure environment.

You can be in a space that allows you to experience the ending of this important life in privacy. We can personalize the process to meet your needs rather than through a standard process of a veterinary hospital.

Because it is such a sad time, we will want to review with you ahead of time about your preferences.

You will need to decide whether you wish to be present during the entire procedure. Some people prefer to say good-bye alone and then not be there for the treatment. Others wish to be present from beginning to end. The choice is entirely yours.

The process involves the sedation of your pet, as needed, and then an intravenous injection which results in your pet going to sleep peacefully, painlessly and not waking up.

You can decide where this takes place and who is present.

Afterwards
You will need to decide whether you want your pet’s body left with you for burial. In which case we can provide a burial bag. Or you may decide you want your pet cremated. There are two types of cremation. A private cremation where the ashes are returned to you or a group cremation, where they aren’t.

If you choose a private cremation, your pet’s ashes will be returned to you in a metal urn with a certificate of individual cremation. Other urn choices are available.

In Home Euthanasia:

At home Euthanasia starts at $250. Private Creamations and special urns are available for an additional fee that depends upon the weight of your pet.
